CALL FOR PAPERS

Dear Colleagues

The Centre for Advanced Studies of African Society (CASAS) based in Cape Town is organizing a workshop on the above topic and would be interested in inviting interested parties to this workshop. Two years ago CASAS organized a similar undertaking on the Afro-Brazilian Returnees which has since then been published as Back to Africa. Vol.1. Afro-Brazilian Returnees and Their Communities. This projected workshop follows up in similar vein.

Prospective participants are free to choose any topic which falls broadly within the ambit of the workshop theme. Please clear the topic with the CASAS office (grace@casas.co.za). On approval, we would require prospective participants to submit an abstract of a ½ page (single spacing), A4 paper. We expect abstracts to be in by the 30th April 2010 and draft papers to be completed by the 30th of September 2010.

CASAS will be responsible for travel, accommodation and subsistence during the period of the workshop.
